The Project
A six-storey family townhouse decorated throughout following a full architectural refurbishment. Deep, absorbing colour in the principal reception rooms is balanced by quieter tones through the upper floors.
The Challenge
Dark, high-sheen colours across large panelled walls leave nowhere for imperfection to hide, and the programme had to dovetail with joinery, lighting and stone trades still on site.
Preparation
New plaster was allowed to cure, then sealed, filled and sanded across three passes. Existing joinery was degreased, abraded and primed, with all cut lines re-cut by hand.
Materials & Finishes
Water-based eggshell to joinery, estate-grade emulsion to walls and ceilings, and a two-pack lacquer to the kitchen cabinetry.
The Result
Panelling that reads as a single continuous surface, crisp cornice lines throughout, and cabinetry indistinguishable from factory finish.
